Packing can be a dreaded task but not when you are headed somewhere as exciting as the snow covered mountains. We will pretend we threw everything together last minute but secretly we started packing on Monday. When headed on a ski trip warmth is definitely key but, when you can pull off looking good and staying warm people will be envious of you. So, with that in mind, in our suitcase you will find, OTBT's perfect ski trip boot, the Black Jack. Cute, comfy and fleece lined this boot is sure to keep your toes warm. It's great because it goes with any winter attire (and it comes in two different colors). For our first day in the mountains, we have it paired with fleece lined yoga pants, a puffer jacket, scarf, gloves and a hat. And, we will of course add snow pants, a ski mask and our skis when we get ready to get some snow action.
There are so many great places in the United States for skiing. We are truly lucky to live in a country with such a beautiful mountain scenery. Forbes magazine compiled a list that has the top ten ski resort locations in the United States and why you would want to make them your skiing destinations. Where is your favorite place to ski? Utah, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming? The options are endless. As we are located on the East Coast our skiing destinations are a little less flashy (but still perfect for a weekend adventure).
The mountains that are calling us this weekend are the mountains of West Virginia. Snow Shoe is a great resort with the some of the best slopes around! When we aren't out shredding this weekend, you can find us (quite content) in a cozy little cottage on the resort. Skiing and hanging out by the fire with friends, seriously is it 5 o'clock yet?
