Trend Alert: Sneaker Style

Travelers, wanders, and explorers like us know the value of sneakers. They’re comfortable, versatile, and can be worn virtually anywhere – from walking around at a local farmer’s market to exploring far-away locations off the beaten track.

Now the fashion world has finally realized what we’ve known for so long – there’s nothing like a great pair of kicks. Celebrities from Kendall Jenner to Jessica Alba are now sporting white sneakers with everything from cropped jeans to shirt dresses. The athleisure style is in, and sneakers are at the forefront of this trend. Practical, comfortable, versatile – and now, totally in style.

To demonstrate just how versatile sneakers can be, we at OTBT Shoes asked the sorority sisters at the University of Alabama to help us with our recent Normcore photoshoot. We asked them to create an outfit around the shoes with the clothes that they had in their own closets – to illustrate their own unique and authentic style.

Here are the looks that these ladies put together.

As you can see, each one of them put together a completely different outfit for the Normcore. These unique looks express the personality of each individual. No two women are the same – and no two outfits are the same either.

Our favorite thing about the Normcore is how versatile it is. It looks great no matter what it’s paired with - distressed jeans, cut-off shorts, casual dresses, rolled up pants, or cozy leggings. And if you’re looking for even more versatility, you can take the laces out of the Normcore for a completely different look. Though it’s shown here in White, this great style also comes in Black, Grey Silver, and Mid Taupe.

We had a blast with this photoshoot. It was so wonderful meeting each of the sorority sisters and spending the day getting to know them better. We discovered they were all big fans of OTBT Shoes. They said that they especially love how comfortable OTBT shoes are, as well as the different varieties of colors and styles. We’re so thankful we got to meet each and every one of them and that we had the opportunity to schedule this incredibly fun photoshoot.
