Hey there, OTBT wanderers!

Liz here, Social Media Manager for OTBT Shoes. I don’t know about you, but I’m honestly so stoked for warmer weather and the arrival of spring! And if you’re anything like me, you probably find the winter-to-spring fashion transition a difficult one. It’s the constant struggle of wanting to dig out the cute floral dresses and stylish spring sandals, while also battling unpredictable weather patterns like rain and stubborn cold fronts, which we get a lot of here in Virginia! Styling outfits for in-between seasons can be really challenging, but thankfully, not impossible. And once you get that perfect look, it can be truly rewarding experience!

Take our recent trip to Charlottesville, VA for instance. The creative team and I went out on a fun, full-day photoshoot to capture OTBT’s most recent spring arrivals, including our new collection of women’s travel handbags. Checking in on my phone in the morning, I came to the dreaded realization that it would be a chilly 40°F day. So not only would I have to dress comfortable enough for a full day of walking around the city, taking photos and updating our Instagram Stories – but I would also have to dress warm enough so that I wouldn’t freeze in the chilly Virginia winds.

Thank goodness I thought to wear my Universe sneakers that day! We ended up walking almost 3 miles around downtown Charlottesville, and these sporty sneaker-loafer hybrids kept me nice and comfortable all day long. Though my toes were a bit chilly when we started out, by the end of the day I was super grateful for the Universe’s perforated leather design, which let in the afternoon sun to warm them up in no time! I paired these stylish new kicks with some of my favorite distressed skinny jeans, a black tank top under a loose-knit sweater, one of my favorite scarves, and finished off the look with an army green coat, which I was VERY grateful that I thought to bring!

Check out how I kept comfortable and cute in the Universe sneakers from OTBT Shoes!

Side note – isn’t that Corina wristlet the cutest? We got to take it, along with all of the other bags from our new collection, out with us to Charlottesville to film and take pictures. I got to experience firsthand just how useful they are, as we used them to carry along the essentials that we needed for the day of the shoot. The Corina wristlet was big enough to fit my phone, keys, sunglasses and credit cards, making the most handy little accessory for darting around town in.

Now that I’ve talked about some of the things I took to Charlottesville, let me talk about two winter-to-spring footwear favorites I currently have my eye on at the moment. One of these is the Metaphor, OTBT’s chic open-toe shooties. These stylish heeled sandals are the ultimate essential for any winter-to-spring wardrobe. I mean, just look at how versatile they are!

Aren’t those side cut-outs just perfect? These Metaphor sandals are made for days when you can’t decide between boots or sandals. They’re dressy enough to wear to work, yet comfortable enough to rock on more casual days. And since I have a somewhat narrow foot, that adjustable ankle strap is exactly what I need to ensure that I’ve got just the right fit at all times. Talk about a winner!

My last favorite I want to highlight for the winter-to-spring transition is a super-cute sneaker that’s truly out of this world! I’m currently obsessing over metallics, and these rose-gold Star Dust sneakers really hit the spot for me. These stylish kicks feature fun cut-outs and look best when worn without socks, really adding to the whole spring transitional vibe of the style.

As with all of the shoes in our Travel Lite collection, the Star Dust is also lightweight and oh-so-comfortable, perfect if you plan on doing any traveling for spring break. As for me, I’d pair these cute kicks with my favorite jeans and grey graphic-tee, and presto – the ultimate weekend-ready look!

What will you be wearing for the winter-to-spring transition? Any of these awesome styles catch your eye like they caught mine? Let me know in the comments below!
