Memorial Day Weekend is right around the corner, and if you’re anything like us here at OTBT, you’re probably itching to get outside and go exploring. Maybe you already have plans for how you want to spend the long weekend – taking a nature hike, going with friends to your favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurant, or maybe just driving around aimlessly until you find somewhere that you’ve never explored before.

If you don’t have plans, let us suggest one of our favorites: spending a day at the lake. It’s the perfect thing to do, no matter who you’re traveling with. You can hike along a nearby trail with your family, rent a canoe or go swimming with your friends, or even take a romantic stroll along the shore at sunset with your special someone.

With all of these lake day activities, you’re going to want to wear shoes that are comfortable, durable, and (of course) stylish. And as long as we’re giving suggestions, let us recommend the perfect shoe for such a day: the Normcore, available now through our online store. This versatile shoe has a thick sole, keeping your feet comfy no matter what you do on your lake day adventure. Don’t they look just perfect sitting on the pier?

Our Normcore comes in four neutral shades, so they can be worn with virtually every outfit you can think of. Take a look at how we’ve styled our lake day outfit. We love the mid taupe Normcore paired with this t-shirt and these cute little jean shorts. If it gets chilly on the lake, you can throw on a green army jacket to keep you warm. Don’t forget a backpack to carry your phone, water bottle, food, sunscreen, and any of your other adventuring essentials. Add a cute bracelet or maybe some fun earrings for a little bit of bling. The finishing touch? A pair of grey or green tinted shades.
